Friday Week 2!

 

Today was a hangover day after that crazy pub crawl malarkey ! But the afternoon initiated the start of the election process and all that comes with making banners/ hanging posters and seeing a good lot of crazy people running around!

Thursday Week 2!

 SO Many Cakes today, SO MANY CAKES! people are having a great time baking and we are appreciating it! Jose Was forced to wear a creation by Rosanna. And almost chocked himself in the process.

Wednesday Week 2

What a great turn out at lunch! and I missed the busy part! A wonderful sound of chatter and a nice few toasties on the go! That filter coffee is doing its job, keeping us buzzing and treating us well.

Tuesday Week 2

Tuesday was a funny day, slightly irritating to start with. The alarm in the SU had been going off since 7.30 and no one knew how to fix it. thankfully someone found a manual and the problem was solved by 11.30.... In better news Paul lent us a nice new coffee machine so we now have filter coffee! Esther and Jose brought us some cakes!

At lunch time the alarm in our building then was set off again ( not just the SU ) so outside we went. . nice bit of air and back to work. Jose brought us some light entertainment for the afternoon in the form of  Face painting. and everything was wonderful again. Here's to Tuesday!

Monday Week 2

BACK AGAIN! Today we started with a BANG! good old mid morning rush and a crazy lunch time.

Thank god for the extra chicken and ham we got in this morning. We acquired a George Foreman, scones, Millionaire shortbread, 2 new mugs, and experimented with a banana / peanut butter and choc spread toastie. All in the name of AWESOMENESS!

Friday

 

Friday was mostly Jose's hat. and a lot of thinking about making sure we keep ourselfs going , keep people in the know and recruit more volunteers, cake makers and mug bringers!

 

Thursday

Thursday seemed a quieter day, but we still picked up a few new faces. some home made cakes and some fruit! It's obvious this Cafe will only work with the support (which we are receiving alot of ) from the students themselfs.

Weather that is baking a cake, bringing in old mugs/plates/bowls or volunteering in the Cafe.

Were enjoying the conversations , the new opinions and the overall positive response to a Cheap Cafe finally on campus. so lets keep this up!

Wednesday

Today We acquired some hats with POMS!  ran out of brown bread, re-stocked on brown bread. Supplied the disability conference with tea and coffee, sewing/knitting was on the go!
